Pipebursting

Only a minimum of digging is required, an insertion pit in or near the building and a winch pit at the property line, the street or in the lane. Once the pits are excavated, a cable is pulled through the old sewer pipe. The bursting head is attached at the Insertion pit and winched through. As the head bursts the old pipe and pushes it into the surrounding soil, it also pulls in the new pipe. An expander on the Head increases the diameter slightly so the friction on the new pipe is not significant. When the new pipe reaches the Winch pit it is then detached and the new line is then hooked up. Finally it is video inspected to ensure a successful installation.
